Matchup Simulator
Pick the two civilizations in the lobby and get a plan before the match starts: what your opponent will build and when, what to answer it with, when the ladder reaches each age, and how your own games in that matchup have gone. It runs in the AoE4 Analyzer app for iOS and Android.
What they build, and when
Every matchup lists the opponent's likely opening — Feudal spearmen and archers, an early camel push, a fast Castle — with the minute it usually lands and the unit that answers it. The notes are written by hand against the game's unit catalog, not generated on the fly.
A plan per age
Feudal, Castle and Imperial each get their own do-and-don't list, with the units, technologies and landmarks named inline so one tap opens their real stats.
Ladder timings, your record
The age-up times ranked players reach with each civilization over the last 90 days, next to your own results in that matchup: wins and losses, the openings you used, what the opponent did, and the games themselves.
Compare from the plan
Any threat opens the unit duel with the answer already picked — damage per second, hits to kill, how many it takes — and the civilization's build orders are one tap away.
What a matchup simulator answers
The loading screen tells you who you are playing; it does not tell you what that means. English into French is a different game from English into Mongols — the timing you have to survive, the unit you need out by the tenth minute, the landmark that changes the matchup. The simulator answers the question you have in those thirty seconds: this civ, that civ, what do I do.
Where the notes come from
Nothing on the plan is generated by a language model. Every line is written by hand for one specific pairing and checked against the game's unit catalog — ranges, armour classes, bonuses — so an archer's range or a landmark's effect never contradicts what the guide shows. The numbers around the notes, the age-up medians and which way a pairing leans, come from ranked matches.
Timings and your own record
Age timings are medians from the last 90 days of ranked play with each civilization, so a fast Feudal is a minute, not an adjective. If you track your profile in the app, the plan also opens with your own games in this exact matchup: the record, the openings you used, what the opponent did, and the matches to reopen.
What is covered today
The first release covers ranked 1v1. Team lobbies can be built already, but the plans behind them are still being written and open a little later.
