Remember for
If up against Malians or other raidable civs: go for mass feudal and get improved + for 150res per house.
If against Rus English focus on your trade boom instead of raiding. Try to contain your opponent and read into what strat is used from them (boom = outboom them, Aggro = play aggro too and take a good fight, FC = FC yourself with a few traders)
If against Ottomans focus on making spears in dark age to deal with them early and prevent feudal age-up.
Your victory condition in the long run is to setup trade and outscale.
