Simplified Chinese Tax Build (Valdemar)

6010

Rally TC to gold and build a mining camp and a house with the first 2 villagers that pop out.

7020

Once you have 2 on gold, rally TC back on sheep.

5020

5

Take 5 food villagers and use them to build the Imperial Academy near the mill and woodline. Shift-click them to a straggler tree after they finish the Imperial Academy.

6020

5

Collect exactly 35 gold with the gold miners and then pull the gold miners to wood.

8200

5

Once you have 8 on food, rally TC to wood.

8700

Build Imperial Officials from the Academy until you have 4. Collect tax revenue with the first IO so you can fund more.

8800

Supervise the Mill.

8900

Build a village (put it anywhere, use wood villagers).

81000

2nd Official pops out and you build a Lumber Camp. Supervise it.

81100

Queue a 3rd Official, rally TC back to food and spend wood on a Stable if the enemy is passive, Barracks or Archery Range if they're attacking with horses/spearmen. You will need a Stable for Professional Scouts.

16800

Research Professional Scouts and start building Scouts from your stable. Build at least 5 scouts and send them to pick up deer and deliver it (T key) to the mill. Use your Barracks and/or Archery Range to make units to pressure your opponent and defend your deer while preventing THEM from taking deer.

0000

Don't forget to build a Blacksmith at some point and research economic upgrades (wheelbarrow first) when your taxes pile up. If you want to build a lot of units in the feudal age, prioritize Blacksmith upgrades too. If you want to play passive and collect deer to go up to Castle Age, prioritize eco upgrades and put one Official on tax collection.

2030

Your villager eco split should look something like this by the time you go up to Castle Age. Put more on wood if you build a lot of archers, more on gold if you want to age up faster or go Song Dynasty.
